Alpen Cherub

$25.00

Alpen Cherub is an exceptionally prolific dahlia with delicate blooms that pollinators absolutely adore. In my garden, it was a particular favourite among the bees, attracting more attention than any other variety I grew. It’s petals are fragile and don't hold up especially well after cutting, so I recommend this one for enjoying in the garden, where its abundance of flowers and appeal to pollinators can really shine.

Variety facts

  • Flower form: Collarette

  • Bloom colour: Crisp White

  • Flower production: Extremely high

  • Petal durability: Delicate

  • Pollinator appeal: Exceptional in my garden

  • Vase life: Not well suited to cutting due to its delicate petals

  • Plant height: 3 - 3.5’

  • Tuber production: High producing

  • Best suited to: Garden displays and pollinator-friendly gardens

Please note that this purchase is for the entire plants worth of tubers. Which means a box of potato looking objects - not flowers! A single tuber sold in the spring is typically valued between $8 - $12 each. A plants worth of tubers can range between 3-10 tubers. This is a great saving! The only catch is that you have to over-winter the tubers yourself.
